CEMSTART PROGRAM GRADUATES ITS FIRST GRADUATES 

OYAK Cement's engineer development program, CEMSTART, celebrated the graduation of its first participants with a ceremony held at the Adana Plant.

The young engineers, who completed the intensive six-month training process, had the opportunity to start careers in the cement industry.


OYAK Cement, the capacity and market leader in the Turkish cement industry, is recognized for its technological advancements and commitment to environmental sustainability. The CEMSTART Engineer Development Program opens doors for young engineers, introducing them to the sector and providing invaluable experience through a structured program that includes long-term mentorship.


The first term of CEMSTART, a specialized six-month program designed by OYAK Cement for newly graduated engineers aiming to build careers in the cement industry, was completed.


Young engineers celebrated their success with their families at the graduation ceremony and shared their experiences. OYAK Cement officials and industry professionals also supported young talents at the event.


Murat SELA, General Manager of OYAK Cement, stated, “The CEMSTART program offers young engineers the opportunity to discover their potential in the sector and shape their careers. Through this program, we aim to provide sectoral knowledge and experience to our young engineer candidates, enhancing their technical knowledge and skills.”


Expansion into other regions


The CEMSTART program offered young engineers the opportunity to get to know the cement production processes closely and gain an in-depth perspective on operational processes through field visits and rotations. It also enabled them to improve their technical skills and reinforce their solution-oriented thinking abilities by taking part in real business projects.


Candidates who completed the program were employed at various plants of OYAK Cement, and many of them had the opportunity to jump-start their careers in the sector. OYAK Cement continues to offer this unique opportunity to more young engineers by implementing the CEMSTART Engineer Development Program in other locations after Adana.
