Occupational Health and Safety Practices

OYKA aims to create a healthy and safe working environment in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and administrative regulations, prevent work accidents and occupational diseases, and make it sustainable by reaching the highest level of world standards in this field. We are acceptable in occupational health and safety (OHS). Our only goal is “zero work accidents.”

OYKA believes that "all occupational accidents are preventable" to achieve this goal.

It accepts occupational health and safety as an "indispensable priority" in all its works.

"Being sensitive to occupational health and safety" by everyone, including managers, at the factory site,

It acts with the understanding of "stopping without delay" the working environment, situations, activities and behaviors that carry occupational safety risks.

OYKA adopts a behavior change-oriented system approach by describing the roadmap on OHS to its employees, subcontractor employees and third parties affected by its fields of activity, with the OHS Principles that support OHS Practices.

OYKA Paper Packaging OHS Principles:

  • Occupational health and safety is among our primary goals and is the first step of every business.
  • Complying with occupational health and safety rules does not prevent us from doing our jobs effectively and achieving our other goals.
  • All work accidents can be prevented, no work accident can be considered acceptable.
  • Everyone working in our factory has the right to work under safe and healthy conditions and must contribute to the provision of these conditions and to participate in relevant trainings and organizations.
  • Each employee is responsible for his occupational health and safety and that of everyone else in the factory area.
  • Each area supervisor is responsible for the employees working in his/her department and other department employees or third parties.
  • In detecting unsafe and risky situations, everyone is obliged to notify the "stop work" to the authorized and unit supervisor.
  • Everyone with management responsibility is responsible for creating a healthy and safe working environment in the workplace, developing behaviors and personal competencies, and improving activities within the scope of legal regulations, new technological developments, and our organization's rules.
  • Risk assessment is carried out to continuously improve occupational health and safety performances, and deficiencies are eliminated.

These principles cover everyone on the factory site.
